Cancellation Policy

Participation (either as participants with or without oral/poster contributions or as accompanying persons) must be cancelled by writing directly to the Organizers of INTER-NOISE 2017 (via e-mail to If the Organizers of INTER-NOISE 2017 receive your written cancellation notice on or before 30 June 2017, the participant will receive a full refund of the registration fee or paid fees (whichever is higher) less an administrative charge of 20% of the paid fees. After 30 June 2017 no cancellation is acceptable and no refund is payable.

  • Registration for INTER-NOISE 2017 must be made via the online registration form:
  • The registration is binding and the general terms and conditions are hereby accepted by the participant. After having registered to INTER-NOISE 2017 and paid the necessary registration fees, the participant will be provided an electronic receipt issued by the Hong Kong Institute of Acoustics (HKIOA).
  • The conference registration fees should be paid by the participant immediately upon registration and/or submission of manuscript.  Authors must pay not later than 31 May 2017.  A manuscript submitted without the accompanying registration fee will not be accepted.
  • Attendance at the conference is allowed only upon receipt of payment from the participant. Should the conference registration fee not be paid via internet (i.e. INTER-NOISE 2017 website) or credited to the HKIOA’s bank account, prior to the conference opening, an on-site payment will need to be made by debit, credit card or cash payment.  This requirement is also applicable to on-site registrations.
  • The participant recognizes and accepts that the Organizers of INTER-NOISE 2017 collect, process and store personal data exclusively for processing registration to INTER-NOISE 2017 as well as for general preparation work for an INTER-NOISE conference.  It may be necessary to transfer your personal data to the organizers of another INTER-NOISE conference. In this regard, you may object to such use at any time via email to
  • By submitting a contribution to INTER-NOISE 2017, the author confirms that he or she has transferred the copyright of all contents (e.g. texts, pictures) of his/her abstract, manuscript and presentation to the Organizers of INTER-NOISE 2017. In case of copyright infringement, the author shall indemnify the Organizers of INTER-NOISE 2017 against any liability.
